Park City, UT - Fly Freestyle, based at Utah Olympic Park in Park City, has been named both the 2012 USSA Club of the Year and the 2012 USSA Freestyle Club of the Year by the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA), also based in Park City.

Snowbird, UT -Despite a spring snowstorm that continued into Saturday morning in the Wasatch Mountains, the final day of The North Face Masters of Snowboarding was held at Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort near Salt Lake City. After narrowing the field from Day One, 35 of the world's best big mountain snowboarders gathered at the top of "North Baldy" for a one-run final. As the last stop of the series, the final day resulted in Shannan Yates and Sammy Luebke winning both the Snowbird event and the overall tour title.

Snowbird, UT -Some of the world's best big mountain snowboarders will make their way to Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort in Utah this week for the final stop of the 2012 North Face Masters of Snowboarding presented by PrimaLoft. Now in its fifth season, the three-stop tour is the only open competition for big mountain snowboarders, with an overall prize purse of $50,000.

Salt Lake City, UT - Earlier this season one of skiing's greats was lost in an avalanche in the Wasatch. Jamie Pierre died last November in a tragic accident at a not-yet-open Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort that shocked the ski industry. He was one of skiing innovators, a friend to many skiers around the world, and was considered as an all around great person by his many friends.

Huntsville, UT - With the crowds of the Winter Dew Tour there to cheer them on, contestants at the Gatorade Free Flow Tour Finals took to the professional Dew Tour courses this past weekend in prospect of being crowned the 2012 Champion. Topping a competitive field of the nation’s best snowboard and freeski amateurs, the slopestyle finals saw Andy Partridge in ski and Brooke Voigte and Kent Callister in snowboard take the top spots, earning a pre-qualified place on the 2012-13 Winter Dew Tour. Sunday saw down-to-the-wire superpipe contests as snow began to fall on Utah. Callister doubled his win, topping the podium for the second day in a row, along with Kelly Berger in snowboard and Broby Leeds in freeski.

Park City, UT - In only her second competition back from injury, Salt Lake City, Utah's Faye Gulini was U.S. Snowboarding's top snowboard cross finisher on Sunday at the Sprint U.S. Snowboarding Grand Prix at Canyons Resort in Park City, taking second to win the women's U.S. Championship. Teammate Nate Holland, of Squaw Valley, Calif., was the top American male finisher on a day where continuous snowfall made for low visibility and slow course speeds on Canyons Resort's Doc's Run. Austrain Markus Schairer won the men's title while Canadian rider Dominique Maltais took the women's.
