Steamboat Springs, CO - Eight U.S. Ski Team athletes, including veteran Todd Lodwick (Steamboat Springs, CO), have qualified to compete in this weekend's FIS Nordic Combined Continental Cup events in Park City and Soldier Hollow, following trials in Steamboat Springs. The Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club played a key role in producing two days of outstanding qualifying events despite low early season snow.

Park City, UT - A lot is on the line at the Olympic ski jumps near Park City this afternoon as the top women's international ski jumping circuit resumes after a two-month break with the Visa International Continental Cup. The U.S. Ski Jumping Team hopes to bring its home jump advantage to the events after a strong start this past summer and fall.

Asset management service provider, Bob Aamodt, Inc., is giving businesses along Utah's Wasatch Front a chance to promote their company while supporting local youth programs through its second annual "Vertical Challenge" ski and snowboard event, scheduled for Friday, February 27, 2009 at Snowbasin Resort. The Vertical Challenge will support values-based programs sponsored by the Boy Scouts of America for more than 46,000 local youth in the Trapper Trails Council.

Powder hungry students, faculty and staff of the University of Utah can partake in the school's annual celebration on the slopes of the semester's end, known as "Ski and Shred Red Day", on Friday, December 12th at Snowbird Ski & Summer Resort. The event is sponsored by Campus Recreation Services.

Salt Lake City, UT - Ski Utah’s 2008 Fat Flake Festival will take place Sat., Nov. 15 from 4:30 – 10:00 p.m. at the Gallivan Center in downtown Salt Lake City. This free all-ages event will feature music by “The Bastard Sons of Johnny Cash,” “Cavedoll” and “Junior Giant.” Local ski and snowboard athletes including Sage Cattabriga-Alosa, Julian Carr, Jamie Pierre, Rachael Burks, Grete Eliassen, Stevie Bell and Ashley Battersby will also be on hand to sign autographs in the Powder Lounge.
