Huntsville, UT - The Winter Dew Tour at its Burr Ridge, Ill. headquarters today announced the host ski resorts and dates for its three stops of the 2009-10 ski and snowboard season, and for the first time the schedule includes Utah's Snowbasin Resort.

Park City, UT - Fans of the U.S. Ski Team and U.S. Snowboarding will have a chance to get behind the scenes at the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association's new national training and education facility, the Center of Excellence, at a July 17 dedication ceremony. The public is welcomed for the dedication beginning at noon Friday, July 17, followed by public tours.

Park City, UT - Olympic dreams will be made and broken during the 2010 U.S. Snowboarding Grand Prix as the tour makes three stops in its 14th season. A total of five Olympic qualification competitions will take place at Copper Mountain in Colorado's Summit County and Mammoth Mountain in the Mammoth Lakes region of California. The tour will make its final stop at Utah's Park City Mountain Resort (PCMR), the venue for the 2002 Olympics, to announce the 2010 Olympic halfpipe team.

Park City, UT - Inspired by the new Center of Excellence in Park City, U.S. Cross Country Ski Team Coaches Peter Vordenberg, Matt Whitcomb and Pat Casey are spearheading a select development training program this summer for young cross country skiers. The National Training Group (NTG), which is comprised of a group of rising athletes, allows the cross country ski coaches to use these resources to provide real exposure and superior training to the next group of future Olympians.

Park City, UT - After jumping for most of her life and competing for the U.S. Ski Team for two years, Park City's Brenna Ellis, a student at Westminster College in Salt Lake City, is retiring from her competitive career. Ellis was a pioneer in the field of women's ski jumping.

Cavtat-Dubrovnik, Croatia - Utah's Deer Valley Resort continued its preparations for the 2011 FIS Freestyle Ski World Championships with a presentation of its draft schedule to the International Ski Federation's Freestyle Committee. The meetings were a part of the annual FIS Calendar Conference held earlier this month in Cavtat, near Dubrovnik, Croatia. It will mark the second time that Deer Valley has held the major international event.

Park City, UT - He was named Utah’s Athlete of the 20th Century. He held the world ski jumping record. As a renowned ski instructor, he taught thousands to ski. He was known as "the father of the powder skiing technique". He is a member of the National Ski Hall of Fame. And a ski museum in Utah bears his name.
