Snowbird, UT - The Snowbird Renaissance Center and the John A. Moran Eye Center will host “A Night for Sight: The Possibility of Eliminating Blindness In Our Lifetime,” on Saturday at Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort in Utah's Little Cottonwood Canyon. The dinner and silent/live auction event seeks to raise awareness and funds in support of the John A. Moran Eye Center’s International Division of Ophthalmology and the Himalayan Cataract Project.

Midway, UT - The five members of the U.S. Olympic Nordic Combined Ski Team were on hand Thursday to help break ground on a new project at Soldier Hollow, site of the 2002 Olympic Winter games. The Soldier Hollow Charter School and Soldier Hollow Legacy Foundation have partnered together to design three new multi-purpose buildings for the Olympic venue in Utah.

Salt Lake City, UT - All eyes on the Salt Lake City campus of Westminster College will be focused on the 2010 Olympic Games as 14 of the school's students head to Vancouver to compete for the gold next month. From snowboarding to freestyle skiing, the college will be cheering on their student-athletes who have been named to the 2010 U.S. Olympic Team.

Snowbird, UT - After two days of being grounded due to weather and unsafe snow conditions, The North Face Masters was finally given the green light Monday on Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort's Silver Fox run. Mark Carter of Jackson, Wyo., and Salt Lake City's own Shannan Yates emerged atop the field.

Park City, UT - Two weeks after locking down their Olympic spots, Shaun White of Carlsbad, Calif., perfected his double McTwist 12 and West Dover, Vt.'s Kelly Clark bested the women's field Friday night during the Sprint U.S. Snowboarding Grand Prix victory at Park City Mountain Resort.

Huntsville, UT - Salt Lake City resident Tom Wallisch, 22, won the freeski slopestyle finals on Sunday at the Winter Dew Tour's Wendy's Invitational held at Utah's Snowbasin Resort. Defending 2008-09 Winter Dew Cup champion, Spencer O'Brien of Canada, placed first in the women's snowboard slopestyle finals, and Chas Guldemond of Reno, Nev. took his first ever Winter Dew Tour win in the men's snowboard slopestyle finals.

Huntsville, UT - Danny Davis of Highland, Mich., underwent surgery Monday to repair a fractured vertebra in his back mere hours after winning his second consecutive final in men's snowboard superpipe Saturday at the Winter Dew Tour stop at Snowbasin Resort in Utah. The injury will put Davis out of contention for U.S. Snowboarding's Olympic squad bound for Vancouver next month.
