Park City, UT - Olympic fans and filmgoers at the Sundance Film Festival will get a look at the life story of Olympic downhill ski racing champion Bill Johnson this Wednesday. A special preview screening of "Downhill: The Bill Johnson Story," produced by Zeke Piestrup of The Ski Channel, will be shown at a public fundraiser with proceeds going to support Johnson, who was critically injured in a ski racing crash leading up to the 2002 Olympics. Johnson's teammate, Olympic champion Phil Mahre, will be on hand to introduce the film.

Park City, UT - Just a year removed from the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver, the top freestyle skiers in the world roll into Park City Feb. 2 for the International Ski Federation's 2011 World Freestyle Ski Championships. The 14th Freestyle World Championship will take place at Deer Valley Resort and Park City Mountain Resort from Feb. 2-5 and feature men's and women's aerials, moguls, skicross, halfpipe and slopestyle events.

Cottonwood Heights, UT - Whole Foods Market has teamed up with Friends of the Utah Avalanche Center to help raise funds to be utilized for avalanche education along the Wasatch Front. Each quarter, Whole Foods Market stores hold 5% Community Giving Days, in which 5% of the day's net sales are donated to a chosen non-profit. This quarter, the Whole Foods Market at 6930 S. Highland Drive in Cottonwood Heights is teaming up with Friends of the Utah Avalanche Center.

Park City, UT - The fast-paced action sport of slopestyle skiing has been confirmed for the International Ski Federation's (FIS) Freestyle World Ski Championships being hosted this February by Deer Valley and Park City Mountain Resorts in Utah. The slopestyle event, which is one of three new action sports events being considered for inclusion in the 2014 Olympic Winter Games, will be held at Park City Mountain Resort.

Salt Lake City, UT - USANA Health Sciences, Inc., a nutritional supplements manufacturer based in Salt Lake City, today announced it will be the official health supplements supplier of the Visa Women's Ski Jumping Team. The team that continues to compete on the Continental Cup circuit and has been fighting for inclusion in the Olympic Winter Games, has persevered on limited funding.

Salt Lake City, UT - The Friends of the Utah Avalanche Center last week announced that it has received a $5,000 grant from Recreational Equipment, Inc., a national outdoor retail co-op better known as REI, to support the organization's Know Before You Go (KBYG) avalanche awareness program.
