Park City, UT - Resorts West has been selected to manage operations at Silver Star at Park City, a new luxury slopeside property at Park City Mountain Resort at the base of the Silver Star chair lift and also adjacent to the Park City Golf Club. Silver Star will be open in full completion for nightly rentals for the first time this winter season. Accommodations include condominiums, townhomes and cottages, in two- to five-bedroom floor plans.

Beluga, AK - Environmentalists are assailing Dick Bass, owner of Utah's Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort, for his partnership in a large-scale coal strip-mining operation proposed along Alaska's Chuitna River. The Sierra Club and other environmental advocacy groups are convinced that the mine's output will contribute to global warming and harm the area's king salmon fishery.
