Park City, UT - Park City Mountain Resort (PCMR) has announced "StartNOW", a ski and snowboard school program for first-time skiers and riders designed to increase snowsport participation among Utah residents, ages six and up. PCMR's StartNOW program offers participants five days of instruction, equipment rentals and lift access for only $25 per day.

Parley's Summit, UT - Gorgoza Park, the snow tubing hill operated by Park City Mountain Resort beside I-80 at Parley's Summit, has announced that it will open its tubing lanes early for the 2009-10 winter season Friday through Sunday this week for the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

Park City, UT - This year Stein Eriksen Lodge at Deer Valley Resort is celebrating the holiday season with the creation and display of a nine-foot long, four-foot wide and five-foot tall gingerbread Thomas the Train. The edible confection is the eighth such masterpiece of executive pastry chef Raymond Lammers, who oversees the design and construction of a different gingerbread structure for the Lodge each year.

Huntsville, UT - Snowbasin has announced that they will open as planned this Thursday. Needles Express Gondola and Littlecat Express Quad will be in operation beginning at 9 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day. Mountain Manager, Chris Westover, reports a base of 19 inches of man-made and natural snow on top to bottom runs.
