Eden, UT - Utah's Powder Mountain ski area is declaring the official start of Spring Skiing Season with the switch to Daylight Savings Time today. March and April generally bring some of the bigger snowstorms of the season to the Wasatch Mountains, but the sunshine and soft snow changes the attitude of guests from serious skiers to beachcombers on the slopes.

Snowbird, UT - Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort in Little Cottonwood Canyon will be hosting a winter Stargazer event this Saturday. The evening includes a Tram ride with local astronomers for an informative presentation before unloading on Hidden Peak where participants will view the night sky at 11,000 feet through high-powered telescopes.

Alta, UT - The Alta Environmental Center, along with partners Town of Alta, Friends of Alta, and Alta Community Enrichment, have reached new heights with the Idle Free Utah campaign since joining in 2008. Initial efforts to reduce vehicle pollution in Utah's Little Cottonwood Canyon began with a joint purchase for Idle Free car decals to supply to the public free of charge. Since then the partners increased their efforts to create a comprehensive and consistent program of awareness with posters, Alta Ski Area employee education and newsletters.
