Park City, UT - Park City-based ski resort holding company Powdr Corp on Thursday announced that Olympic Gold Medalist Ted Ligety has signed a multi-year agreement to serve as an ambassador of all the company's ski resorts, representing each of the mountain resorts individually. The deal is part of a new Powdr Corp initiative across their resorts in support of the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA) teams.

Snowbird, UT - Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort President Bob Bonar announced today that Dave Fields has been promoted to the role of Vice President of Resort Operations. Fields' new position will provide greater oversight in the day-to-day operations of the resort and help sharpen Snowbird's focus on customer service.

Park City, UT - Tim Petrick, currently Group Rossignol's Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing, has been promoted to the position of President of North American operations based in Park City. Petrick is taking over for François Goulet who has resigned to pursue new interests. Goulet will continue running Group Rossignol's North American operations in a transitional capacity until year end.

Ishpeming, MI - Two Utahans -- Snowbasin owner Earl Holding, and Paralympic medalist Muffy Davis -- are among a roster of six skiers and builders named as inductees to the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame's Class of 2010. The announcement was made this week by Hall of Fame Chairman, Bernie Weichsel.

Among them was German Ski Association President Alfons Hoermann, who took time from his American holiday to visit with USSA President and CEO Bill Marolt. In addition to meeting with his colleague on the International Ski Federation's governing board and touring the Center, it was an opportunity to talk about Germany's excitement to play host to the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships this February in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
