Brian Head, UT - The JibYard, an indoor training facility, and Red Bull have teamed up with Area 107.9 and Brian Head Resort to bring a select group of Athletes know as "The After Bang JibYard Gang" to attend Pre-"Chill on the Hill" party Saturday and Sunday at the southern Utah ski and snowboard resort. Snow riders from the After Bang JibYard Gang, which includes pro skiers and snowboarders Seth Hill, Tim Russell, Peter Olenick, Max Kuszaj, Craig Coker, Derek Dennison, Heath Ordway, Dash Long, CR Johnson, Jon Symms, Tanner Rainville and Tae Westcott, will be free riding with anyone who wants to join in the fun. They will be signing autographs afterwards, taking pictures, and partying with attendees Friday night.

Snowbird, UT - More than 30 teams of highly-trained avalanche rescue dogs and their handlers from around the world have gathered in Utah's Little Cottonwood Canyon southeast of Salt Lake City for avalanche victim search drills, beacon searches, helicopter training and classroom sessions conducted by Wasatch Backcountry Rescue (WBR). The weeklong training concludes this Saturday with the first-ever Backcountry Public Awareness Day covering topics related to avalanche equipment and safety techniques along with dog rescue demonstrations.

Recognizing this, when Bill Levitt bought the Alta Lodge in 1959, he wanted the Lodge to be a place where families were always welcome and where parents could relax and enjoy their ski vacation with their children. Since then, multiple generations of many families have returned to Alta Lodge for their annual ski experience together.

Park City, UT - On a break from Continental Cup competitions, the U.S. Ski Jumping Team's Jessica Jerome, Alissa Johnson, Avery Ardovino and Abby Hughes paid a visit to an elementary school in their hometown of Park City, to inspire fourth graders to take an interest in ski jumping.

Salt Lake City, UT - On Tuesday, Ski Utah and a team of nine skiers successfully skied all 13 Utah ski and snowboard resorts in a single day. This is the first time in history that every resort in the state has been skied in one day, breaking the record of 11 resorts in a day set during the 2003-04 winter season.

Alta, UT - On January 15, 1939, 350 skiers enjoyed the slopes of Alta for the first time. Back then, lift tickets cost $0.25 per ride, or $1.50 for the entire day. The original Collins Lift was the first chairlift in Utah and one of the first in the United States.
