Burr Ridge, IL - Officials with the Gatorade Free Flow Tour have announced the complete schedule for series for the 2012 winter season. In its third year, the Tour offers up-and-coming amateur freeski athletes 21 and under the chance to earn a pre-qualified spot in next season’s 2012-13 Winter Dew Tour. Leading off with slope and pipe contests at Vail Mountain in Vail, Colo., the circuit will hit eight ski resorts for a total of 14 contests, including two in Utah.

Alta, UT - Alta Ski Area is offering a new lift pass this winter that will allow skiers to ski the entire mountain from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. The new pass will cost $30, or $25 if skiers are reloading their reusable, RFID-enabled Alta Card lift ticket.

Given the current state of the economy that's truly saying something. Industry officials are hoping to build on that momentum for the 2011-12 season that gets underway in Utah this week.
