Eden, UT - Powder Mountain is offering complimentary freeride clinics for skiers and boarders every Wednesday evening through March.

Coaches meet participants in the Sundown Lodge at 5:30 p.m. A season pass or a night lift pass is required. A night lift pass costs $12 for ages 7-12 and $15 for 13 years and up. Minors must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian to participate in the two-hour clinics, which will be held at the Sundown Terrain Park on Confidence Run.

This park is specifically designed for beginner and intermediate level park riders. Features include smaller boxes, rails and jumps that are perfect for learning tricks. The park is open from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. daily.

"One of our goals at Powder Mountain is to give youth the opportunity to develop their skills and a love for winter sports that will carry on through their lifetime. We designed the clinics so that anyone can afford them and so that any skill level can join in," remarked Dave Jessup, Powder Mountain's Terrain Parks Manager.

Once Sundown has been conquered, park riders generally progress on to Powder Mountain's Hidden Lake Terrain Park. This park has larger, more technical features down the entire length of Hidden Lake Run. Expert riders enjoy the Lumberjack Zone made from natural and recycled material such as logs and power poles. The Urban line has been expanded to include the new Crossroads staircase feature.

The clinics will conclude in time for students to show off their improved skills during the 12th Annual Spring Session at Powder Mountain on Apr. 10.
