Las Leñas, Argentina - With a few inches of new snow and warmer temperatures, athletes were in great spirits and put on a fantastic show on Eduardo's, the massive, 2,500-vertical-foot venue at Las Leñas for the Argentinean Freeskiing Championships. Still, due to unseasonably low snowpack, this was definitely a different type of competition, not focusing so much on big airs, but technical lines and controlled fluidity.

Park City, UT - U.S. nordic combined skier Bryan Fletcher, who hails from Steamboat Springs, Colo., but makes his training home in Park City, is partnering with Red Banjo Pizza on Park City's Main Street to host a public autograph party with his Olympic teammates to help fight cancer this Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Proceeds will go to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Park City, UT - Teens are learning how to shred down the mountain and balance blood sugars in a special empowerment program called Riding on Insulin, taking place Dec. 11 at Canyons in Park City. The day, led by Sean Busby, a 26-year-old professional snowboarder with type 1 diabetes, promotes courage and confidence and shows children with type 1 or type 2 they can overcome mental and physical challenges.

El Colorado, Chile - Saturday in El Colorado, ski patrol opened up the entire south slope of Max's Face, making the already enormous South American venue for the 2010 The North Face Chilean Freeskiing Championships even larger. The added terrain allowed the 35 finalists more space and potential for bigger and more creative lines. And when the snow settled, it was Drew Stoecklein of Sandy, Utah, who finished atop the leader board.

Oberwiesenthal, Germany - The U.S. women's ski jumping crew were flying through the sky on Friday, competing in the Oberwiesenthal Continental Cup. Park City's Sarah Hendrickson stomped on the podium in third. Austria's Jacqueline Seifriedsberger won the event.
