Palm Springs, CA - The National Ski Area Association (NSAA) has named Utah's four Salt Lake County ski resorts -- Alta, Brighton, Snowbird and Solitude -- the joint recipients of its 2013 Golden Eagle Award for medium size ski areas (2000,000 to 500,000 visits), under the umbrella of the Cottonwood Canyons Foundation (CCF). Established in 1993, the Golden Eagle Awards are the highest industry honors bestowed on resorts for environmental performance.

Park City, UT - The Park City Council reviewed the materials for Phase I of the Historic Park City Improvement Plan last Thursday, setting in motion a 10-year plan to upgrade the infrastructure of the Utah ski resort town’s central commercial thoroughfare. The total improvement plan will invest about $15 million in the area over the next 10 years.

Huntsville, UT - Snowbasin Adaptive Sports Education Foundation has announced its 2013 On-Snow Demo Day and Charity Raffle, set for Saturday, March 16 at Snowbasin Resort in Huntsville. Skis from 11 major manufacturers and snowboards from Burton will be available to try between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. in exchange for a $20 donation to the foundation.
