Salt Lake City, UT - Utah Governor Gary R. Herbert has appointed two new members and reappointed four others to the Board of Tourism Development. The 13-member policy board is located within the Utah Office of Tourism, an agency of the Governor's Office of Economic Development. Board members oversee the state's $7 million Tourism Marketing Performance Fund that is used to promote the state's "Life Elevated" brand to out-of-state visitors.

Park City, UT - When the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA) needed a name for the street leading to its new Center of Excellence in Park City, former freestyle competitor Brooks Rohlen knew he had the perfect fit. He entered it into the USSA's "Name The Street" contest not knowing that months later his choice would adorn a street sign.

Ogden, UT - The world’s largest sports equipment company recently announced their support in a program designed to improve Ogden’s air quality. The new corporate citizen is joining Ogden’s Mayor on his Fresh Air Friday Initiative – a program focused on reducing air pollution and improving the lives of Ogden citizens. Amer Sports Winter & Outdoor Americas, parent to both ski makers Salomon and Atomic, is backing the program by donating 25 bike racks for Ogden bike commuters, and encouraging its own employees to bike or become bus commuters with the help of subsidized bus passes.
