Park City, UT - Inspired by the new Center of Excellence in Park City, U.S. Cross Country Ski Team Coaches Peter Vordenberg, Matt Whitcomb and Pat Casey are spearheading a select development training program this summer for young cross country skiers. The National Training Group (NTG), which is comprised of a group of rising athletes, allows the cross country ski coaches to use these resources to provide real exposure and superior training to the next group of future Olympians.

Eden, UT - Craig Bonham, founder of two popular dining destinations in Eden, has announced expansion and relocation plans for the restaurant group that includes Harley and Buck's Grill, the newly renamed Double Diamond Grill and Bar and Carlos and Harley's Fresh Mex Cantina. Harley and Buck's will move from the four corners in Eden to the clubhouse at Wolf Creek Utah Resort, at the base of the Powder Mountain ski area access road. Carlos and Harley's will move into the space formerly occupied by Harley and Buck's, while the Double Diamond Grill and Bar will offer a new après-ski spot in the Ogden Valley for when the snow begins to fly next winter.

Park City, UT - When the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA) needed a name for the street leading to its new Center of Excellence in Park City, former freestyle competitor Brooks Rohlen knew he had the perfect fit. Park City, UT - Rossignol announced today that ski industry veteran Tim Petrick has been named the company's Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing, effective July 1. Petrick, most recently Vice President of Global Sales for K2 Sports, will be responsible for overseeing the worldwide strategic direction of the company's Dynastar, Lange, Look and Rossignol ski and snowboard brands. While Rossignol North America's headquarters is located in Park City, Petrick will work from Rossignol's global headquarters in France.

Salt Lake City, UT - Ski Utah reported today that skier visits at its 13 member resorts were down 6.5% year over year in 2008-09. A record season in 2007-08, however, meant that 2008-09 was nonetheless the state's fourth best ski and snowboard season on record.
